Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic University women's lacrosse team took down Drew on Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated in Landmark Conference play and push its win streak to four games.
Senior Caroline Beckett led Catholic's 14 point scorers with three goals and four assists while Kate Olsen netted five goals and added one assist. Izzy Fiore, Riley Cherkes, Shelby Graser and Lindsay Sawyer all pitched in with two goals apiece.
Drew (7-7, 2-3 LC) and Catholic exchanged tallies in the opening five minutes before the Cardinals finished the first stanza on a 7-0 run. Meghan McDonough's team extended the run to 9-0 before the Rangers finally snapped Catholic's scoring streak early in the second quarter.
Catholic outshot the Rangers 40-19, scoring on more than half of its shots. The Cardinals also went 5-for-6 on free-position shots and were dominant on the draw. Jessie Lee led the way with five draw controls as the Cardinals nearly doubled up Drew, 21-11. Ten different Cardinals were credited with a draw control.
Lauren Davidson played the first three quarters in the Cardinal's goal, making six saves, before Laura Sullivan relieved her for the final 15 minutes. Davidson earned her fifth win of the season in the cage.
Caroline Regan filled the stat sheet with a balance performance. She gained possession for her team six times by winning two draw controls and claiming four ground balls. The sophomore also caused two turnovers and added one assist.
Catholic will look to continue its strong run of form next Saturday, when it travels to conference rivals Scranton. The rematch of last year's Landmark Conference championship game will commence at 12 p.m.
