The Catholic Athletics Senior Celebration is an end-of-year event to honor and celebrate our graduating seniors and their families. During the event, each Catholic senior/graduate student is honored by their respective coaches and the department as a whole. During the program, seven major awards are handed out. The awards are -- Harris Cup, Donley Cup, Outstanding Men's Senior, Outstanding Women's Senior, Jone Dowd Role Model, Martin Dowd Role Model, and the Departmental Dedication Award. Harris Cup

The Harris Cup recognizes excellence in four distinct areas over a senior male student-athlete's career at Catholic University -- academic (3.0 or better), athletic, leadership, and service.

Outstanding Senior (M)

The Outstanding Senior Athlete Award is presented to one male and one female who has made significant contributions to their respective sport and team. This award takes into account the student-athlete's aggregate career at Catholic.

Martin Dowd Role Model

The Martin Dowd Student-Athlete Role Model Award is given annually to a male student-athlete who exudes graciousness in victory, humility in defeat, and rallies their peers to consistently compete at a high level in athletics and beyond.

Jone Dowd Role Model

The Jone Dowd Student-Athlete Role Model Award is given annually to a female student-athlete who exudes graciousness in victory, humility in defeat, and rallies their peers to consistently compete at a high level in athletics and beyond.

Departmental Dedication Award

The Departmental Dedication Award was created in 2023 to honor a student or student-athlete who has provided tremendous value to Catholic Athletics as a whole. This group can include, but is not limited to student workers, student assistants, and managers.
