NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Henley Bredemann and
Grace Button were both named to the IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region teams, it was announced earlier today. Both of them earned a spot on the second team and it is the first career all-region honor for Bredemann and Button.
The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to
one of the All-Region teams for 2026. These Bredemann and Button are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team which will be announced on May 22.
The sophomore Bredemann played and started in all 19 games for the Cardinals and finished as the team leader in goals with 44 which was a career-high after scoring 40 in her freshman year. She also had a career-high in assists with 17 which brought her season points total to 61 which was the second-best on the team this season and ninth-best in the Landmark. She added on to her accolades for the season as she was also a First Team All-Landmark selection, which was her second straight honor.
Button also received All-Landmark honors this season and joined Bredemann on the second team all-region squad. She finished tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with 25 to bring her career total to 60. She also collected a team-leading 42 ground balls which was tied for ninth in the Landmark this season. She finished with 118 ground balls in her career.
Catholic continues a lengthy stretch of all-region selections, earning at least one in every season dating back to 2013.
