NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. - Catholic defenders
Grace Button and
Clare Martin have been selected for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Senior All-Star game, it was announced today. The two Cardinals will play for the White All-Stars under Catholic head coach
Meghan McDonogh.
There are four Landmark Conference players participating in the All-Star game, including Button and Martin. They will play alongside Mia Dinnocenzio and Eva Guerino from the University of Scranton.
Button and Martin are the first two Cardinals to be selected for the all-star game since Rachel Rubenstein in 2024.
In 69 career games, Button scooped up 118 ground balls and caused 60 turnovers. She led the squad this season with 42 ground balls and tied for first with 25 caused turnovers. Button also received USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American and IWLCA All-Chesapeake Second Team Honors this season.
Appearing in 65 games during her career, Martin picked up 63 ground balls and caused 58 turnovers. During her senior season, she had the fifth-most ground balls with 24, and third-most caused turnovers with 17.
The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The Division III team will play the first game at 10:00 am ET, the Division I game will follow at 12:30 pm, and the Division II teams will cap off the event with their game at 3:00 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge. The Senior All-Star games will NOT be streamed.
