BALTIMORE, Md. - The Catholic University divers made the short trip to Baltimore this weekend for a two-day event at Loyola (Md.).
Competing for Catholic were Lucy McHale, Kaitlyn Caple, Charles Connolly, and Jack Walsh.
McHale, off to a strong start in her young collegiate career, led the way, placing sixth in the one-meter dive with 170.35 points against Division I competition. McHale also placed sixth in the three-meter dive with a score of 168.30.
Connolly placed seventh in the men's three-meter dive, scoring 143.75 points to just edge out teammate Jack Walsh. Connolly was sixth in the one-meter dive with a score of 182.50.
Walsh finished eighth in the three-meter dive, just behind Connolly with 143.40 points, and ninth in the one-meter dive with 140.85 points.
Caple placed 10th in the one-meter dive with 134.80 points on the women's side and 11th in the three-meter dive with a score of 122.40.
