Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. - A total of 13 players scored at least one point, led by six from senior Bridget Beck, as the Catholic University women's lacrosse team posted a 22-1 win over Elizabethtown Wednesday at Carlini Field.
The No. 7 Cardinals (4-0, 4-0 LC) posted their 42nd consecutive conference win and their seventh-straight against the Blue Jays while improving their record to 10-0 at Carlini Field.
It also marked the second largest margin of victory in program behind the team's 23-1 win at Trinity (D.C.) on April 13, 2000.
Beck tied her season high in points with two goals and career-high four assists. She also had two goals and four assists at Moravian on March 29. Her career high in points is eight, set in a 22-3 win at Goucher on April 10, 2019 when she had four goals and four assists.
Beck had a hand in a five of Catholic's first 12 goals with two goals and three assists as the Cardinals raced out to a 13-0 lead in the game's first 20 minutes.
Sophomore Kate Olsen had three goals and one assist during the team's 13-0 start as she scored at least three goals in all four games this season and leads the team with 17 this season. She finished the game with four goals and five points.
Senior Holly Regan also finished with five points on one goal and four assists. She now has 97 career assists, only three shy of becoming just the sixth player in program history to reach 100. She also has 176 career points, needing 24 to become just the seventh player in team history to reach 200.
Catholic led 14-1 at the half after freshman Anna Corona netted her first career goal with 25 seconds remaining. She was one of two Cardinals to score their first career goal Wednesday as freshman Shelby Graser scored at 12:24 before netting a second tally at 10:37 off an assist from Beck.
Freshman Riley Cherkes finished with a career-high four points on two goals and two assists while sophomore Grace Hill also had a career-high four points with one goal and a career-best three assists. Hill also had three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Junior Molly Monaghan had four points as well, totaling her third career hat-trick while adding one assist and four draw controls. Junior Clare Richards had a team-high six draw controls while picking up three ground balls and scoring two goals.
Senior Nanci Hernandez got the start in goal and earned her fourth win of the season. She was one of four goalies to see action for Catholic, including sophomore Meggie Gibbons who made her first career appearance and made two saves. Freshman Lauren Davidson also saw her first action and made one second-half save.
Catholic travels to Juniata on Saturday for a 2 p.m. draw against the Eagles.
