SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Catholic University women's lacrosse junior Molly Monaghan tied her career-high with five points as the No. 6 Cardinals posted a 15-4 road win over Susquehanna Wednesday at Sassafras Field.

Catholic (6-0, 6-0 LC) outscored the River Hawks, 36-14, in two meetings this season after posting a 21-10 victory last Wednesday at Carlini Field.

Monaghan had four goals and one assist as she scored five points for the third time in her career. She also had four goals and one assist in a 22-1 win over Elizabethtown on April 7 and four goals and one assist in a 23-15 win at Moravian on March 30, 2019.

Monaghan netted her fifth career hat-trick and third in the last four games. She was one of three Cardinals to score at least three goals Wednesday as sophomore Caroline Beckett registered her second-straight and freshman Grace Hill totaled the first of her career.

Catholic had five different goal scorers in the first half as they built a 7-1 halftime lead. Monaghan had a hand in three with two goals and one assist.

The River Hawks (3-4, 3-4 LC) pulled within seven with just over seven minutes remaining before the Cardinals scored the game's final four tallies, including the fourth from Monaghan to extended their conference win streak to 44 games.

Monaghan also had 10 draw controls while sophomore Kate Olsen had one goal, one assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

In goal, junior Rachel Searle made her first career start and made a career-high nine saves to earn her third career win.

With the regular season complete, Catholic will now prepare for the 2021 Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship. As the No. 1 seed, the Cardinals will get a bye into the semifinals where they will host the winner between fourth-seeded Drew and fifth-seeded Susquehanna on Wednesday, April 28 at Carlini Field.
