Down Go Two Women's Track & Field Program Records

| By:
LANCASTER, Pa. / BLACKSBURG, Va. - Madi Fuerst and the Catholic women's track & field 4x400 relay team both broke program records during the Doc Hale Meet and the Blue & White Invite this weekend

Clare Marsh, Zoey Brown, Emily Moehringer, and Brigid Byrnes made history in the 4x400 relay during day two at the Doc Hale Meet. The squad combined to clock a time of 3:56.81 to break the program record and the Landmark Conference record. They are the only 4x400 relay team in program history to break four minutes in this event and currently rank 16th in all of Division III this season.

At the Blue & White Invite, Fuerst continued to thrive in the pole vault, breaking her own program record for the third time this season. The rookie vaulted to a 3.63m mark to place second at the meet and move into 18th in Division III this season. Fuerst now ranks sixth in Landmark Conference history in the pole vault, passing Moravian's Rebekah Finn who recorded a 3.60m mark in 2010.

Ciara Donegan also had a successful day in the field. The senior placed within the top three in the shot put for the first time this season with an 11.86m mark. She slotted into third behind two competitors from Millersville.

Edith Tomasek placed within the top-10 in all three of her events. She earned eighth in both the triple jump (9.92m) and the long jump (4.63m) before claiming seventh in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.04.

Catholic is back in action next week for a two day meet in Pittsford, N.Y. The D3 Elite Meet hosted by Nazareth will run from Friday, Febraury 14 through Saturday, February 15.
