BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Catholic (2-4, 0-2) dropped Saturday's Landmark Conference contest to Moravian (4-2, 2-0) thanks to a 20-point second quarter for the Greyhounds.
After tying the contest at 7-7 on the first play of the second quarter, Catholic allowed Moravian to score 20 unanswered, taking a 27-7 lead into the fourth quarter. The Cardinals once again trimmed the deficit to two scores, but the Greyhounds added the final blow with 5:08 to play.
Daequan Harvin got the bulk of the work on the ground for Catholic, rushing 17 times for 85 yards and his second rushing score as a Cardinal.
Tyler Donnelly picked off a Jared Jenkins overthrow on the final play of the first quarter, returning it 43 yards to the Moravian 13 before a penalty on the Greyhounds put Catholic on the six. Harvin rushed it in to open the second quarter of action, tying the game at 7-7. Harvin finished the game with two rushes of 10-plus yards, including a 16-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.
Trailing 27-7 in the fourth, Catholic forced Moravian to punt and took over with 13:20 left. The Cardinals went 43 yards on eight plays as

Andrew Tabor for a seven-yard score, his third receiving touchdown of the season. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, Moravian would march 75 yards, chewing 4:38 off the clock to ultimately put things out of reach.
The Greyhounds out-gained Catholic 401-224 in the contest, averaging 5.8 yards per play. For the second straight year, Jenkins was stellar against the Cardinals, throwing for 261 yards and five scores. Diego Del Castillo pulled in eight catches for 91 yards and three scores for the Greyhounds.
For Catholic, Gulbin threw for 145 yards and the score with
Anthony Giordano leading the way with five receptions for 41 yards. Giordano and
Malachi Hansen each recorded their 100th career catches in the loss.
In his second game back from injury,
Lawson Haylock had 10 tackles, two TFLs, and a sack for the Cardinals.
Michael Hopkins led the team with 11 tackles while Donnelly had eight stops to go with his interception. Graduate
Connor Gill continued an impressive season, averaging 44.8 yards per punt with a long of 51.
Catholic remains on the road next week as they travel to Lycoming to take on the Warriors in Williamsport, Pa.
