WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic University women's tennis team dropped a Sunday matinee to a tough Drew squad on the Dowd Family Tennis Courts.
Paige Brightwell put up a good fight at No. 6 singles, losing by a single break in both sets (4-6, 3-6). She was also part of the closest doubles match of the day, combing with Aubree Narus at the No. 3 position and falling 3-8.
Individually, Narus was able to nip two games off her opponent in each set, falling at the No. 4 position.
Brooke Simonson had the difficult job at playing at the top position at both singles and doubles. She was joined by Abbey Cassidy on the top doubles duo while Cassidy also featured at No. 2 singles.
The Cardinals will look to return to winning ways with a midweek contest against McDaniel. Catholic will welcome the Green Terror to the Dowd Family Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
