FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The ITA Regional Championships hosted by Mary Washington continued on Sunday after two days of competition. Cristina Moreira of Catholic women's tennis continued her competition on Sunday after winning her Saturday singles match.

After a 6-1, 6-3 win over Isabella Ascensio Jaramillo on Saturday afternoon, Catholic freshman Cristina Moreira advanced to the quarterfinals at the ITA Regional Championship.

Sunday morning, Moreira faced off against Franklin and Marshall's Emilia Husieva. It was a back-and-forth battle for the two first-years, but it was Husieva who clinched the win, 8-6 over Moreira.

Up next in the fall 2026 season, Catholic will host Gettysburg on October, 17. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Dowd Family Tennis Courts.
