Catholic Women Fall to Randolph-Macon

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University women's tennis team fell to Randolph-Macon on a windy day in D.C. by a score of 9-0 on Sunday afternoon. 

Brooke Simonson and Abbey Cassidy battled at No. 1 doubles, falling 8-4 in the tightest of the three doubles contests for the Cardinals. Paige Brightwell and Bridget McCabe fell 8-3 at No. 3 doubles. 

Brightwell and McCabe gave the Yellow Jackets all they could handle at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively. Brightwell took the first set 6-3 over Adele Huffman, but dropped the second set 6-3 and lost 10-1 in the tiebreaker. McCabe fell 6-3, 7-5 to Becky Villeda. 

Catholic will travel to Moravian on Saturday and Elizabethtown on Sunday for a pair of Landmark Conference matchups.
