FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Catholic University women's lacrosse senior Julia Piet scored with 3:02 remaining in overtime to lift the No. 16 Cardinals to a 10-9 road victory over Mary Washington Wednesday.

Catholic (6-4) snapped a three-game losing streak against the Eagles with its first win at the Battleground Complex since March 18, 2015.

Piet scored the team's final two goals with the first coming off an assist from junior Caroline Beckett to give the Cardinals a 9-8 lead with 2:47 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Beckett finished with five points on three goals and two assists.

Mary Washington (6-6), who trailed by as many as six in the second quarter, forced overtime after Katie Blair netted her fifth goal of the game on a free position with 57 second to play in regulation.

Catholic registered the first two shots of the extra period, both of which were saved by the Eagles' Reilly Miller who finished with 14 saves.
