Box Score Selinsgrove, PA. - The Catholic University men's tennis team concluded the 2021 season as it dropped the Landmark Conference quarterfinal match at third-seeded Susquehanna on Saturday, 5-1.
The Cardinals picked up their lone win at No. 3 doubles as seniors Dom Mazzeo and Christian Papalambros secured an 8-6 victory.
Freshman Allan Van Nostrand and senior Frankie Fortunati battled at No. 1 doubles but ultimately dropped the match, 8-6. Van Nostrand played at No. 1 singles for the first time in his career and dropped a back-and-forth match, 4-6, 6-1, 2-3. Fortunati concluded his career at No. 2 singles where he was leading 6-4, 5-4, before the match concluded when the River Hawks clinched the win.
