WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University women's tennis team concluded their fall season against York (Pa.) on Saturday, dropping the non-conference matchup, 8-1.
Senior Brooke Simonson and junior Abbey Cassidy started out the Cardinals in doubles in a back-and-forth battle, ultimately falling to the Spartans' pair, 8-6.
Junior Hanna Scali picked up the lone point for the Cardinals at No. 3 singles, winning 6-3, 6-0. Cassidy battled again at No. 2 singles for the team, but was just edged, 7-5, 6-4.
The Cardinals concluded their fall season with a record of 3-2 and will now prepare for the spring season beginning in March.
