WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team suffered its second Landmark Conference loss on Friday afternoon as the Cardinals were topped by Susquehanna, 15-6.

It was just a one-goal game after the first quarter, but the River Hawks outscored the Cards, 6-2, in the second to take control for good. Susquehanna also earned scoring edges in the third, 3-1, and fourth, 4-2.

Senior Liam Clancy led the way for Catholic with two goals and was joined classmate Bennett Bradley and sophomore Mark Tocchio as players with multi-point days.

The scoring prowess of Susquehanna proved to be too great of a hurdle to overcome as six different River Hawks had goals and four with two-or-more.

Susquehanna outshot Catholic, 40-29, won 17-of-25 faceoffs and picked up nine more ground balls than the Cards.

It will be nearly two weeks before the Cardinals play their next Landmark game with a nonconference showdown at home on Saturday, April 14, at 3 p.m., against Montclair St. on deck next.
