Box Score

Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Catholic University of America baseball team continues its win-streak with a 10-6 triumph over Hampden-Sydney College on Thursday afternoon.

Seniors Jake Crist and Anthony Ferlise led the Catholic offense with three RBIs apiece. Ferlise went 1-of-2 with a solo homerun and two walks and registered two runs of his own. Crist recorded a double and hit 3-of-4 during the Thursday victory.

Junior Mason Belcher took the mound for the Cardinals and tossed out five batters to earn the win. Sophomore Nolan Lundholm and junior Collin Brown each pitched one inning while sophomore Jack Ropelewski threw for two innings with three Ks.

Junior Ryan Tracy took a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the second inning to bring home Ferlise for the game-opening run. Up next, Crist blasted a three-RBI double to left field to score sophomores Connor Sullivan and Cid Porter along with Tracy.

Ferlise lofted the ball into right field and rounded the bases for Catholic's lone run of the third inning as the Cardinals took a 5-0 lead.

Ahead, 5-1 Catholic posted a three-run fourth inning and later hit for a two-run sixth inning bringing their final tally to 10 runs.

Senior Jack Hennessy drove in Tracy in the fourth before coming home on a double from senior Brennan Cotter. Later in the inning, Ferlise brought classmate Danny O'Hagan across the plate for his second RBI of the event.

In the sixth inning, junior Bailey Lewis sent a single to center field to drive in Cotter and Ferlise brought Lewis home for the Cardinals final run of the day.
