WASHINGTON, D.C.  — Catholic baseball's rising junior pitcher Luke Cardman has been making waves in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in the 2025 summer and has been selected to the 2025 FCBL All-Star Team. Cardman is pitching for the Norwich Sea Unicorns and has been dominant on the mound throughout the season.

As a key piece of the rotation, Cardman has made six starts, pitching to a 2-1 record over 28 innings which is the second-most on the team. He holds a 1.60 ERA and has punched out 28 hitters thus far while allowing just three walks.

Over Cardman's last three starts, he has pitched 16 innings while allowing just one run on four hits and has fanned 15 batters. His longest outing of the season came on June 26 when he tossed six shutout innings, allowing just one hit and he tied a season-high in strikeouts with seven. Overall, in his last 26 innings pitched, Cardman has allowed just two runs.

The game will be played on July 22 at Polar Park, home of the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox, marking the first time in league history that the event takes place in an active Minor League Baseball park.
