Catholic Women's Tennis Edged in Spring Break Opener

Hilton Head, S.C. The Catholic University of America women's tennis team was edged in the first match of its annual Spring Break trip as they fell to Mount Union, 5-4.

Mount Union was able to take all three doubles matches which overcame four Catholic singles wins at No.'s 3-to-6.

Junior Erin Cole one a close match by tie-breaker at No. 3 singles to pick up the Cardinals biggest win of the day. Senior Lisa Genadry also won in a tiebreaker at No. 4, coming back from one set down to earn the win. 

Junior Elizabeth Ast and rookie Grace Connell won in convincing fashion at No. 5 and 6, going over 6-1, 7-5, and 6-2, 6-2, respectively.

Catholic will have a day off before returning to action on Wednesday, March 7 at 3 p.m., against Roanoke.
