WASHINGTON — Due to forecasted rain in the D.C.-metro area, The Catholic University of America baseball team will push its season-opening doubleheader against Cabrini back a day to Sunday, February 18th at 2 p.m., and move the games to the turf field at the nearby Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.
Though the 2017 Landmark Conference Regular Season champs are eager to start their season, rains throughout the week and periods during Saturday forced officials to make the change.
The two teams will still play two, seven-inning games, but will take place seven miles away at the Nats Baseball Academy.
The Washington National Youth Baseball Academy is located at: 3675 Ely Pl SE, Washington, DC, 20019.
