Cardinals Fall in Landmark Battles Versus Drew and Scranton

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's tennis team fell in a homestand weekend against Drew and Scranton, 7-2, 8-1, respectively.

The Cardinals earned two victories against Drew but were held to just one win against Scranton

The No. 3 doubles team of rookie Kyle Weber and sophomore Matt Pham earned Catholic first win of the weekend, 8-5.

Rookie Jack Emerick made it two wins versus Drew as he earned a tie-breaking win at No. 5 singles, 7-6, 4-5, 10-6.

Catholic got its lone win against Scranton in No. 4 singles action as Weber picked up his second win of the weekend.

He went over Brandon Ostroswki, 6-2, 7-5.

Catholic will get a week-and-half break for the Easter holiday but resumes Landmark action on Goucher on Wednesday, April 19 at Goucher.
