Catholic Edged in Season Finale at Moravian, 5-4

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America women's tennis team was edged in its season finale at Moravian on Saturday, 5-4. The Cardinals got strong performances from several competitors but came up just short.

Junior Jenna Gietl led the way for Catholic as she won two No. 2 matches. She earned the singles victory in convincing fashion, 6-0, 6-3, before combining with sophomore Erin Cole for the doubles win, 8-1.

Cole was right with Gietl as a two-time winner as she was victorious at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

Catholic's final victory came from senior Faith Tamuleviz who won at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-2.
