Box Score 2 Towson, Md. — The Catholic University of America volleyball team saw its season come to a close on Saturday afternoon at Goucher College as the Cardinals fell in its final Landmark Weekend to Elizabethtown and Moravian.
Catholic had trouble getting anything going against Elizabethtown as the Cards were topped in straight sets, and despite double-doubles from seniors Brynn Cooley and Michelle Seals, the Cards were topped, 3-2.
Cooley led the way against the Greyhounds with a team-high 11 kills and added 11 digs and two aces. Seals put up a team-best 26 assists and rounded out her game-two line with 10 digs and a kill.
Catholic was edged by two in the first set against Moravian before swapping sets two and three, 15-13, each. The 25-23 win went the Cardinals way in the fourth, but the Greyhounds came back to take the fifth, 15-5.
Etown was able to keep the Cards to 15 points in two of three sets in the first game of the day as the Blue Jays hit .316 as a team with 20 blocks while out-digging Catholic, 50-37.
Senior middle hitter Amy O'Connor had a match-high six blocks as well as a team-high seven kills to go along with two aces and two digs as she finished out her career.
