Box Score 2 WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America volleyball team went 1-1 on the final day of the Neumann Invitational, finishing the tournament 3-1. The Cardinals defeated Baruch, 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-17), before falling to Swarthmore, 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 15-25).
All-Tournament Team selection Michelle Bouchard anchored the Cards' defense all invite long, and added 15 digs in the win over Baruch and 15 more against Swarthmore.
10 different players registered kills in the victory against Baruch, led by junior middle hitter Tara Rempel, who totaled nine.
Junior setter Michelle Seals was involved in every kill for the Cards with 33 assists and three kills.
Senior outside hitter Mary Paige Nesfeder had a team-high 10 kills while junior Brynn Cooley just missed a double-double with eight kills and 10 digs as the Cardinals fell in straight sets to Swarthmore.
Catholic now returns home to the DuFour Center on Wednesday night when they host Washington College at 7 p.m.
