Box Score WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team got 20 saves from senior goalkeeper Harrison Holak but a strong second half by Susquehanna helped the Crusaders top the Cardinals, 9-6.
Holak faced 50 shots and posted a Landmark Conference-high 20 stops, just five shy of his career high set earlier this season in nonconference action.
The Cards held a 4-3 lead after the first quarter as team's held each other off the scoresheet in the second period.
The Crusaders won the third however, scoring four goals to Catholic's one as neither team's offense was able to truly click. Susquehanna also added man-up goals in both the third and fourth quarters to secure the win.
Junior attack Tim Keith led the offense for the Cardinals, totaling four points on three goal and one assist. Keith and Susquehanna's Nick Reardon shared the game-high with three scores.
Catholic will look to get back on the winning track and snap a two-game skid next Saturday when the Cards continue Landmark action at Cardinal Stadium against Merchant Marine at 1 p.m.
