Box Score WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team put on offensive show on Tuesday afternoon at Cardinal Stadium, scoring a season-high 21 goals against Beloit for the 11-score victory. The 21-10 win improves CUA to 5-2 on the season.
Catholic scored early and often, including the first three goals of the game and a nine-score third quarter that put the contest away. The Cardinals also turned up the defensive intensity in the third, holding the Buccaneers to just one goal.
CUA exploded for five goals in a four-minute span to start third period to take control for good.
12 different Cardinals scored for head coach Brooks Singer, led by four goals from junior Dylan Neville who finished his impressive day with six points, adding two assits.
The sophomore class for CUA was well represented as midfielders Bennett Bradley, Samuel Montgomery and Liam Clancy each registered three scores in the game.
Catholic held a 73-31 shots advantage in the game and a 29-6 edge in faceoffs.
Senior goalkeeper Harrison Holak picked up the with nine saves.
The Cardinals wrap up a three-game homestand this Saturday when they host Marywood at 2 p.m.
