Box Score WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team earned a strong victory over Stockton in its return to Cardinal Stadium on Saturday afternoon, 14-7. The offense was led by sophomore Bennett Bradley who scored five times for the Cards.
Bradley, a transfer from Army West Point, scored the first and last goals of the game and his second score of the first period put CUA up 3-2. He also netted the final two goals of the third quarter, putting Catholic up 9-6.
The Cards held a 6-3 at halftime, but Stockton rallied after the break, scoring three-straight goals to tie the game.
Head coach Brooks Singer's squad was able to take advantage of a man-up situation just a minute later however as junior Dylan Neville scored off the feed from junior Tim Keith to give CUA back a lead it would not relinquish.
Neville and Keith each scored twice along with junior Victor Licata. Keith and Licata also added two assists each.
Stockton owned a slight edge in the shots advantage, 41-40, but senior goalkeeper Harrison Holak was sensational for the second-straight game. Coming off a career-high 25 saves, Holak stopped 18 more to pick up his fourth win of the year.
The Cardinals continue its three-game homestand this Tuesday at 4 p.m., versus Beloit.
