Box Score 2 WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America volleyball team won its first two matches of the 2016 Kean Invitational, running its win streak to four-in-a-row and overall record to 17-5.
The Cardinals downed both host Kean and Baruch in straight sets, 3-0.
Senior outside hitter registered a season-high 18 kills to lead the Cards over Kean. She also totaled a double-double with 11 digs in the match, her second double-dip of the year.
Against Baruch, both senior Kathryn Herrington and rookie Isabelle Cooper went for double-digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively.
Junior setter Michelle Seals chipped in a double-double with 34 assists and 11 digs, and added two service aces, two kills and a block.
Catholic returns to action on Saturday with two early matches, facing New Rochelle and Alvernia at 10 a.m., and noon.
