WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory against Hood on Thursday afternoon at the Jone and Marty Dowd Family Courts. The Cardinal wrap up fall play on a two-game win streak.
Catholic earned wins at both the top singles and doubles matches. Junior Jan Lasota went over Hood's Alex Sexton, 6-0, 6-1, to earn the No. 1 win.
Junior Rob Alexander teamed with sophomore Ted Tiu to earn the No. 1 doubles win in impressive fashion, 8-2.
Tiu also added a win at No. 3 doubles, 6-1, 6-1.
Rookie Kyle Weber joined Tiu as a two-game winner, earning the victory at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0, while also teaming with junior Brendan Rooney at No. 3 doubles for the sweep win, 80.
The Cardinals wrap fall league play with a 2-2 record and return to the court again on February 19, 2017, at Washington College.
