Box Score 2 WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America volleyball team eclipsed the 20-win plateau on Friday night at Swarthmore's Garnet Classic, sweeping past Colby and Stockton, 3-0.
The Cardinals did not drop a set in their first night of action, picking up their 20th and 21st wins of the season.
Against Stockton, junior outside hitter Maria Cristina Juelle led the way with a match-high 13 kills, hitting an impressive .545. Senior middle Kathryn Herrington also went for double-digit kills, registering 11.
It was senior Mary Paige Nesfeder who led the charge against Colby, as she posted a match-high 14 kills and went for the double-double with 11 digs.
Junior setter Michelle Seals also went for the double-dip as she racked up 29 assists and 13 digs.
The Cards return to action Saturday morning with matches against DeSales and Scranton.
