Box Score Baltimore, Md. – The Catholic University of America volleyball team got back on the winning track in an important matchup, sweeping Goucher in its Landmark Conference opener, 3-0.
Sophomore Maria Cristina Juelle double-double for head coach Nagy Abelrazek on Tuesday night as the Cardinals won their league lid-lifter. Juelle went for a team-high 11 kills and 15 digs in the pivotal match.
CUA won the first set by five before takin the next two, 25-11.
Senior middle blocker Audrey Bizak joined Juelle in double digit kills, butting away 10 of her own while adding a solo block.
Sophomore setter Michelle Seals registered 39 assists in the match and double-doubled with 11 digs in an impressive three-set performance.
The Cardinals will look to keep in going in a Landmark Conference weekend at Merchant Marine in three days.
