Box Score 2 Aston, Pa. – The Catholic University of America volleyball team went 1-1 on the final day of the Neumann Invite, defeating Rutgers-Camden in straight sets before falling in the fifth against Lebanon Valley.
The Cards took a 25-21 win in the first set against Rutgers-Camden and then a hard-fought 28-26 game before rolling to a 25-8 win in the deciding set.
Both Brynn Cooley and Tara Rempel registered double-digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively. Setter Michelle Seals was everywhere for CUA, totaling 38 assists in the match.
The Cardinals came up just short in a battle with Lebanon Valley as the match went the full five.
Maria Cristina Juelle posted a double-double with a team-high 13 kills and 16 digs and was later named to the All-Tournament Team.
CUA is the midst of a 16-match road trip, having played the last five away from D.C. Catholic opens Landmark Conference this Tuesday at Goucher. Game time is scheduled
