Cardinals Bring Down Susquehanna

WASHINGTON - The Cardinals of Catholic University brought the Crusaders of Susquehanna University to a 9-0 shut out win on Sunday afternoon.

They started strong with triple wins in the doubles' flights by the team of Juan Lorido and Jon Lasota, Matt Holtschneider and Rocky Alhaqbani, and Conor Wilson and Jon Purowitz. The three doubles teams went 24-1 in overall game scores.

In regards to the singles flights, Lorido, Wilson, and freshman Brendan Rooney served double bagels in their flawless victories. Alhaqbani won at the 4th flight 6-0, 6-1. At the second singles flight, freshman Lasota won 6-1, 6-2. Holtschneider won his 3rd flight singles match 6-2, 6-1.

The Cardinals aim to keep this winning streak going in their matches at home against Moravian Saturday, March 28th
