Volleyball Sweeps Lancaster Bible and Hood

WASHINGTON – In its first matches since completing Landmark play and clinching a spot in the playoffs, The Catholic University of America volleyball took the court and swept both Lancaster Bible and Hood, 3-0.

The Cardinals held their LBC under 17 points in two of the two sets and closed out the game in impressive fashion, 25-14.

Sophomore opposite side hitter Maria Cristina Juelle continued her torrid play as of late, totaling 11 kills on 22 attacks, adding tow digs and a block in the first match of the day.

Setter Michelle Seals also posted a game-high with 28 assists in the match, adding four service aces.

Juelle led the way again in the second match, totaling another game-high with 14 kills, adding five digs, two blocks, two service aces and two assists.

Junior libero Michelle Bouchard was all over the court for the Cardinals, tallying 15 digs, adding an assist and service ace as Catholic even its overall record at 15-15.

The Cards continue their five-game homestand this Wednesday when they host local foe Gallaudet at 7 p.m.
