WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America women's tennis team opened fall tennis action with a 5-4 loss to York (Pa.) on Sunday, September 14.
The Cardinals won three singles matches on the day. No. 3 Emma Needham defeated Darian Naill 6-2, 6-1, No. 4 Lindsey Rekstis beat Mckenzie Krout 6-3, 7-5 and No. 5 Faith Tamuleviz overpowered Emily Skutnik 6-1, 6-1.
Laura Torsiello and Eliana Martinez took the No. 1 doubles win 8-2 for the fourth win of the day.
The Cardinals continue fall action on Wednesday, September 17 match at Stevenson slated for 1:00 p.m.
