Women's Tennis Falls to Scranton in Landmark Championship

WASHINGTON – In their second consecutive Landmark Conference Tournament appearance, the CUA women's tennis team fell to Scranton 5-3 in the 2014 championship game.

Elizabeth Harvey was the only Cardinal to go undefeated in the championship event.  Elizabeth Harvey overpowered Stephanie Boccuzzi 6-4, 6-0 as the No. 1 singles player.

By the conclusion of doubles play, Catholic led 2-1.  No. 1 Harvey and Laura Torsiello beat Boccuzzi and Nicole Mahaffey 8-2.  Andie Ingram and Isabel Tanco defeated their No. 3 doubles foes Megan Azzalina and Lisa-Marie Lanciotti 8-5.

The Cardinals conclude the season with a record of 13-6 overall and 4-2 in the Landmark Conference.
