Box Score 2 Towson, Md. – The Catholic University of America women's volleyball team wrapped up the second Landmark Conference weekend this time at Goucher. The Cardinals fell in three-sets to No. 8 Juniata and Susquehanna on Saturday, October 4.
The defeats drops CUA to 18-5 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
The opening loss came from the No. 8 Eagles, who took down the Cardinals 25-19, 25-22, 25-19. Mary Paige Nesfeder led the team with eight kills, as Maria Juelle added seven kills in the match. Michelle Seals circulated 21 assists. Michelle Bouchard guided the back row defense with 14 digs, while Audrey Bizak assisted on five blocks.
At the conclusion of the second match, CUA had fallen 25-16, 25-20, 25-20 to Susquehanna. This time Nesfeder paired with Bizak to lead the offensive effort with eight kills and seven kills, respectively. Seals recorded a day-high 37 assists in the match. Nesfeder recorded a season-high 16 digs, as Juelle collected 14 of her own.
CUA returns to the DuFour Athletic Center in Washington, D.C., to host Washington College on Tuesday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m.
