WASHINGTON – After honoring senior student-athletes Mariana Cruz and Bridget Kulesh, the Catholic Cardinals swept the Blazers of Hood in three sets (25-10, 25-12, 25-17) on Thursday in the DuFour Center.

Mary Paige Nesfeder showed Cruz and Kulesh that she was prepared to maintain the offensive effort, as she led the Cards with 11 kills in the home victory.  Cruz distributed 26 assists in combination with her team-high two services and 15 digs.  Cruz, Kathryn Herrington and Audrey Bizak notched two solo blocks apiece.

CUA concludes regular season play in New Jersey for the New Jersey City University Tournament on Nov. 1-2.
