BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Behind a blistering 62-percent shooting performance, No. 6 CUA (13-2, 3-1) bounced back from its first conference loss with an 85-59 win over Moravian (9-5, 2-3) on Saturday afternoon.  Shawn Holmes led four CUA players in double figures with 20 points, while Steve Limberiou hit five 3-pointers and netted 19 points.

CUA shot 58-percent in the first half en route to a 45-27 lead at the break, and then got even hotter in the second half, shooting 68-percent.

The Cardinals led 20-12 after Nate Koenig sank a jumper 5:15 into the game, and Bryson Fonville's layup with 11:27 on the first half clock gave CUA an 11-point advantage.

Riley Kirsch got inside for a layup to extend to a 15-point CUA lead with 8:44 to play before the half, and Limberiou hit a three late in the half to send the Cardinals into the locker room with an 18-point lead.

The lead continued to grow in the second half, reaching 21 on Holmes' jumper a minute in, and 24 on Limberiou's trifecta two minutes later.

Izel Dickerson's basket with 10:05 on the clock trimmed the lead to 21, but CUA scored the next five to go on top 69-43.

Holmes' 3-pointer with 1:39 remaining gave the Cardinals a 28-point lead, matching their largest advantage of the day.

Koenig shot 7 of 13 and finished with 16 points for the Cards, and Fonville added 11 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.

CUA hit eight 3-pointers as a team and won the battle of the boards 34-23.

Kenny Gula led Moravian with 12 points, and Cameron Cullen added 11.

CUA heads home for its next game, hosting Susquehanna on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
