WASHINGTON – CUA completed an undefeated fall season with a 7-2 win over Hood on Sunday afternoon.  The Cardinals received singles wins from Caitin Porter, Elizabeth Harvey, Emma Needham, Rosemary Montani and Katherine Buer to improve to 5-0.

At first singles, Hood's Emily Maerz upended CUA's Margie Selinger 6-0, 6-0, while at second singles, Porter defeated Olivia Hosch 6-1, 6-3.

Harvey earned a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Sandra Dziadas at the third flight and Needham downed Nalla Tejera 6-1, 6-3 at fourth singles.

At fifth singles, Montani came away with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 win over Mabie Tun, while Buer closed things out with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Aubrey Fetters.

Maerz and Hosch teamed up to down Porter and Isabel Tanco 9-8 at the first doubles flight, while Needham and Notarianni defeated Dziadas and Fetters 9-7 at second doubles.

At third doubles, Andie Ingram and Christine Harvey picked up an 8-2 victory against Tejera and Tun.

The Cardinals will resume their season in the spring, beginning with their annual spring break trip in March.
