WASHINGTON – The Cardinals swept their second straight opponent on Sunday, downing Hood 9-0 to wrap up the 2012 fall season. Brian Bradley, Kyle Kramer, Jason Quisberth, Schuyler Hayward, Joe Peters and Joe Trinity picked up singles wins for CUA to help it improve to 3-2.
Bradley got CUA going with a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles, and Kramer swept past Luis Cotto 6-0, 6-0 at the second flight.
At third singles, Quisberth defeated Phillip Roedig 6-1, 6-0, while Hayward earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Thomas Spivey at the fourth flight.
Peters and Trinity both swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at the fifth and sixth flights, respectively.
In doubles play, Peters and Kramer teamed up for an 8-1 win over Chad Love and Cotto, while Trinity and Hayward defeated Roedig and Trey Quinn 8-1 at the second flight.
Conor Wilson and Jason Quisberth closed things out with an 8-0 win at the third flight against Spivey and Jamone Davis.
The Cardinals will resume their season in the spring, beginning with their annual spring break trip in March.
