SELINSGROVE, Pa. – CUA opened Landmark Conference play
with a convincing 7-2 win over Susquehanna on Saturday.
Margie Selinger, Rita Holden, Caitlin Porter, Elaina Sceusa and
Isabel Tanco earned singles wins for the Cardinals, while Andie
Ingram and Tanco, along with Holden and Porter won doubles
matches.
Selinger got CUA started with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 win over Julia
Lerner at first singles, while Holden defeated Jessica Kliner 6-2,
3-6, 6-2 at the second flight.
Ingram was upended by Shelby O'Riley 6-0, 6-1 at third
singles and Porter came away with a 6-4, 7-5 victory at the fourth
flight.
Sceusa won the fifth flight match 6-1, 6-2 and Tanco came away
with a 6-3, 6-1 win to earn the sixth singles point.
Ingram and Tanco posted an 8-6 win at first doubles and Holden and
Porter earned an 8-5 win over Brielle Ferlauto and Ellen Puisinelle
at the third flight.
Selinger and Sceusa fell to O'Riley and Abby Hess at second
doubles 8-5.
CUA is now off for two weeks before returning to action on
Saturday, March 31 when the Cardinals host Moravian at 1 p.m.
