FREDERICK, Md. – Behind wins at every flight except second
doubles, the Cardinals remained perfect on the season with an 8-1
win over Hood on Friday afternoon. Cassian Utrie, Joe Peters,
Brian Bradley, Jason Quisberth, and Kyle Kramer won in singles
play, while Quisberth and Utrie picked up a doubles win for
CUA.
Utrie earned a hard-fought 2-6, 7-5, 10-2 win at first singles
over Carter Reitman and Peters followed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at
the second flight.
In third singles action, Bradley defeated Travis Kline 6-4, 6-0
and Quisberth took down Chad Love in straight sets at the fourth
flight, 6-0, 6-0.
Kramer finished out singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Raymond
Rivera.
Quisberth and Utrie earned an 8-1 win at first doubles, while
Reitman and Love picked up Hood's lone win on the afternoon
with an 8-6 victory at second doubles.
On Saturday the Cardinals play host to Dickinson beginning at 1
p.m. at the CUA Tennis Courts.
