Cardinals Find Podium at the South Region Preview

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The men's cross country team traveled to Lynchburg to compete in the South Region Preview. With Joey Locke leading the way for the Cardinals, the team placed fifth out of 16 programs.

Senior Locke placed 18th with his time of 26:47.7. Freshman Aidan Malloy was the second Cardinal finisher, clocking 27:27.4.

Patrick Morris placed 47th as the third Catholic finisher with a time of 28:04.5. Just behind, Matt Haugh placed 48th, logging 28:05.4.

Quinn Langan was the fifth finisher for the Cardinal squad, placing 58th overall. The freshman recorded a time of 28:25.5.

Catholic recorded 174 points with their 5th place team finish. Lynchburg came in first with 28, Pfeiffer tallied 92, while Roanoke and Berry tied with 108.

Up next, the Cardinals will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh, on October 2nd.
