Wolfe Tops All DIII Runners at Cantello Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, MD - The men's cross country team traveled to Annapolis, Md. to compete in the Cantello Invitational. 

Men's 4.9 Mile
Catholic finished 4th out of 6th teams overall with 103 points. The Cardinals placed 1st out of the Division III schools. They scored 60 points less than Division I Mount St. Mary's as well as Division III Southern Virginia.
 
Senior Joe Wolfe led the pack for the Cardinals with a time of 26:07.7, finishing in 15th place overall. His performance gave him the first place finish amongst DIII athletes in the event. 

Joe Locke, a junior, raced a time of 27:06.7 awarding himself 28th place. 

A trio of freshmen rounded out the scoring 5. In 31st place, Michael Brunet ran a time of 27:25.9. In 34th place, Tim Brown raced a time of 27:33.6. In 39th place, Tim Sweeney completed a time of 28:11.4.

Men's Open 5k
Only two Cardinals competed in the Men's Open 5k. 

Alexandre Ramos finished 20th overall with a time of 18:28.5. Ramos placed first amongst Division III runners.

Matthew McCormack placed 34th overall with a time of 20:35.8. 

Up next, the Cardinals will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Paul Short Run on October 3rd.
