CHESTER, Pa. - Competing at the Final Qualifier meet hosted by Widener on Monday,
Emily Moehringer broke the program and Landmark Conference records in the 1,500 to put her in strong position for a bid into the NCAA Championship field. Fellow senior
Clare Marsh posted her fastest time of the season in the 400 hurdles, also putting herself in position to qualify for a second consecutive NCAA Outdoor Championship.
Running in the 1,500, Moehringer placed third in the stacked field, finishing in 4:27.29, to break her own program record by more than two seconds. Previously second in Landmark history, Moehringer snuck past Kelty Oaster's conference record time of 4:27.92 set earlier this season. As of the time of posting, Moehringer sits eighth nationally in the event.
An All-American in 2024, Marsh ran a season and personal best time of 1:01.92 to move into the top-15 nationally in the 400 hurdles. She finished fourth in the event, joined in the top-five by fellow Landmark athlete Olivia Barbacci of Juniata. Also competing in the event,
Brigid Byrnes finished eighth with a time of 1:02.47.
Erin Buckley,
Kortney Clipper, and
Sarah Schumacher ran well in the 200 with Buckley clocking a time of 26.17 to lead the trio. Clipper moves into fifth all-time on the performance list with a PR time of 26.18. Schumacher clocked a time of 26.24.
