| By:
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.  — After Emily Moehringer competed last night, the Catholic women's track and field team had several more athletes compete at the Penn Relays on Friday afternoon ahead of the Landmark Conference Championships next weekend.

Moehringer ran a solid race on Thursday with a new PR in the 1500m, clocking in at 4:29.83 to set a new program record in the event, topping her previous time of 4:31.68. Her time moved her into the top 10 in all of DIII in the event.

In the first event on Friday, the 4x100, the Cardinals ran Erin Buckley, Sarah Schumacher, Kortney Clipper, and Felicity Giampietro, who clocked in at 48.68 to finish in eighth out of 22 teams. Their time set a new program record in the event, surpassing the 48.94 time that the same relay team set earlier this season.

Buckley, Clipper, and Schumacher also competed in the 4x200 relay along with Clare Marsh and the team clocked in at 1:44.31, breaking the school record and marking the second-fastest time in conference history.

Finishing off the night, Zoey Brown, Mia McConnell, Brigid Byrnes, and Marsh competed in the 4x400, making it a clean sweep of program records, clocking a time of 3:56.17 to finish sixth, resetting the Landmark Conference record in the process. The time is an improvement on the previous record of 3:57.12 and moves Catholic up slightly in the national rankings into the national 40.

The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams will continue on to the finals tomorrow at 4:10 p.m. (4x100) and 5:30 p.m. (4x400).
