WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic men's lacrosse celebrated Senior Day on Saturday by scoring a program-record 30 goals in a shutout of Juniata.

The Cardinals break their record of 28 goals, set first in 2021 against Moravian and matched in 2022 at Juniata. The shutout is their first since Feb. 11, 2014 versus Southern Virginia.

Catholic flew out to a monster lead with a 14-goal first quarter before taking a 23-0 halftime lead against the Eagles.

Billy Burton, Bjorn Olofson, Victor Rosado, and Ryan Carickoff all recorded hat tricks with Rosado adding four assists to break the program record for career points.

John Hadden, Will Gilfillan and Fitz McLaughlin each had two goals for the Cardinals.

Nine different players scored for Catholic in the opening quarter, starting with goals in the first five minutes from Hadden and Liam Hill. After going more than five minutes without a goal, Catholic would score 12 goals in the final 6:35 of the period. The Cardinals also got goals from Burton, Erik Aulbach, Connor Baia, Rosado, McLaughlin, Matt Ford, and Brendan Falatko in the opener.

Catholic tacked on nine more in the second period with Mason Russo, Shawn Zebrowski, Carickhoff, Steven Dezelic, Matt Shandley, and Danny Cappitelli joining the goal-scoring party.

The scoring slowed down slightly in the final two periods with Catholic adding seven more over the final 30 minutes to close out the 30-0 win. Olofson scored three goals in the second half while Bailey Wallace, Chris McCabe, and Gilfillan got on the board.
