WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic improved to 4-2 in Landmark Conference play, defeating Moravian 18-6 on Saturday afternoon at Carlini Field. Six different players scored multiple goals in a strong offensive showing for the Cardinals.
Victor Rosado was sensational in the victory, scoring four goals and handing out an assist to become the sixth player in program history to reach 100 career goals. The program's all-time leader in assists now sits in the top six in points, goals, and assists.
Joining Rosado with multiple goals on Saturday were
Billy Burton,
Brady McMahon,
Steven Dezelic,
Mike Mulligan, and
Fitz McLaughlin. Defensively,
Liam Daly made nine saves to earn his fourth win while the program's all-time leader in caused turnovers,
Mike Tayloe, added three more and five ground balls in the win.
Ryan Macksoud dominated once again, winning 23-of-26 face-offs and picking up 11 ground balls.
Catholic opened up with a 4-1 lead after the first 15 minutes, getting three unanswered to end the period after
Finn Smith and Ryan Kokoszka traded goals to open the game. McLaughlin scored his eighth of the season to give the Cardinals a lead they would not give back. McMahon scored with 4:41 left in the quarter to make it 3-1 before
Jack Gibbs found Rosado for a man-down goal to make it 4-1 with 1:14 to play in the period.
Rosado and McLaughlin each scored in the first 1:20 of the second quarter, pushing the lead to 6-1 before the Greyhounds put home the next two goals. However, Catholic would use a 4-0 run to end the half, building a 10-3 lead as Dezelic scored back-to-back goals in the final five minutes.
Catholic added three more early in the third to extend the lead to 10 before Trevor Dzama scored with 3:52 left in the third for Moravian, but Rosado and Burton scored late in the period to make it 15-4. Mulligan,
Ryan Carickhoff, and Rosado extended Catholic's lead to 18-4 before Moravian added the final two goals of the contest.

- With his 27th assist of the season, Rosado now holds three of the top four assist seasons in program history. He is the single-season record holder with 32. With five points today, Rosado has 196 for his career, 13 shy of the program record for points (Conor Kelly - 209).
- Now with 207 face-off wins this season, Macksoud's 2025 campaign moves into fifth in single-season history. He is the single-season record holder with 263.
- With three more caused turnovers this season, Tayloe has 24 which ranks in a tie for third in single-season program history.
- Catholic improves to 12-2 in program history all-time against Moravian. The Cardinals have won back-to-back contests in the series.
Catholic travels to Elizabethtown on Wednesday to take on the Blue Jays at 6:00 p.m.
