Catholic Dominates in Road Victory at Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Catholic dominated both halves of a 24-5 victory at Lycoming to open Landmark Conference play with a victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals took a dominant 6-0 lead after the first 15 minutes with a pair of first quarter goals coming from Steven Dezelic and Mike Mulligan. Billy Burton and Liam Hill also found the back of the net in the first to build the early advantage.

Lycoming got on the board in the second, but the Cardinals built an 11-2 lead at the break with Alejandro Masferrer, Burton, Bjorn Olofson, and Finn Smith all scoring in the period. Burton completed a first-half hat trick, becoming one of two Cardinals to record a hat trick in the win.

Catholic was even more dominant in the final 30 minutes, outscoring the Warriors 13-3. Cullen Lotz and Victor Rosado joined the goal-scoring party early in the third. Chris McCabe scored to make it 14-4 before Lotz's second goal made it 15-4. Masferrer's second goal came late in the third, sending the game to the fourth with Catholic on top 16-4.

The eight fourth-quarter goals were scored by Ian Wick, Parker Damon, a pair from John Hadden, Olofson, and three in-a-row from Kevin Woram to close things out.

Rosado and Bailey Wallace each recorded three assists while Burton and Dezelic had two apiece. Rosado sits just four goals away from 100 for his career and surpassed 175 career points.
